According to the Royal Spanish Academy, it refers that educating is «Directing, directing, indoctrinating». The specialists of each area are in charge of imparting the knowledge to their future colleagues and already specialists in professional development; to verify knowledge, question it and organize it, strengthening their knowledge.

Our medical specialty leads the production units of Clinical Pathology services in public and private health establishments. Among the eight doctrinal principles that condition existence and guide the institutional threads of our society, the following stand out: promoting the integral progress of the Clinical Pathologist, awakening the vocation of doctors for this beautiful specialty, promoting research and raising the prestige of the specialty. making it known that laboratory tests are medical acts.

As part of the DNA of a medical-scientific society, it is our societal duty to hold robust academic events that allow us to be up-to-date and thus respond to the current demands for technology and innovation that characterize Laboratory Medicine in the world.

On this occasion, I have the great honor of leading the Peruvian Society of Clinical Pathology, with more than 70 years of institutional life and being the 38th president, I invite you to participate in the "II Peruvian International Congress of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and the IX Peruvian Congress of Clinical Pathology Dr. Oswaldo Hercelles» that will be held in person and virtually, from April 26 to 28, 2023 in the city of Trujillo in Peru. This great congress bears the eponym of a prominent clinical pathologist who led the first clinical laboratory in a public hospital in Peru.

This academic event concentrates the efforts of an organizing committee, whose main focus is to promote the updating of our professional and labor skills, through prominent national and international speakers who provide scientific enhancement to the program.

It should be noted that our congress has the academic sponsorship of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC), the world's leading organization in Clinical Pathology, which protects what professionals do in clinical laboratories.
