10th International Fluid Academy Days IFAD 2021

After a break last year, the International Fluid Academy Day is back in Brussels, Belgium on the 26th and 27th November, 2021.

The 18 months have been challenging for all healthcare professionals. When conferences and meetings were moved online, it became apparent that the human contact of speaking to friends and colleagues face-to-face can never be replicated on any online platform.

With this in mind, and true to IFA’s spirit of innovation, this year’s event will be unlike any of the previous years. Divided into two days, we will cover, discuss, dissect and collaborate on all things fluids. The first will be focused on the 4 phases of fluid management and the second day will focus on the concept of fluid stewardship.

Uniquely, both days will be devoid of any lectern-based lectures. Instead there will be panel discussions where all colleagues can ask questions and as well as examine in detail clinical practice and research findings.

A neglected topic for way too long, the interest in fluid therapy seems to be quickly rising as the medical community is making a shift from looking at fluids as a mere method of stabilization towards the appreciation of its relevant side effects.

On arrival at DoubleTree by Hilton, you will be asked to show one of the following:

1. A certificate of full vaccination
2. A negative PCR test taken less than 48 hours prior to the event
3. A certificate of recovery from SARS-CoV-2 infection within the last 6 months

You will then receive a bracelet giving you access for the rest of the meeting.

The 10th Hybrid International Fluid Academy Days (eIFAD) will again be a 2 day concise meeting on all aspects of fluid managament and hemodynamic monitoring in the critically ill. We have build a repository with video lectures. Access to these lectures will remain available for premium delegates (3 months in Whova - 6 months via tablet or smartphone - 12 months via embedded agenda).
