Security
The Heart Failure Association, the ESC, the Palais des
Congrès de Paris and its partners have made the security of our delegates a
primary concern. For reasons of national security, the French government have
extended the duration of the State of Emergency until July 2017. Reinforced
security controls may delay you slightly in your trip.
Arriving in Paris
Controls are possible at French customs for all incoming
international flights including those from within the European Union. Please
make sure you travel with the necessary documents and integrate this into your
schedule when planning your arrival.
For more information about travelling to France please visit
your government website.
At Heart Failure 2017
The Palais des Congrès de Paris has a very high level
security plan complying with the State of Emergency. For obvious reasons we are
unable to share these confidential arrangements, designed to protect congress
delegates to the maximum level.
Please be notified that you may be subject to a security control
of your handbags or luggage when entering the building; we advise you to make
the necessary arrangements in order not to be delayed in your schedule.
In collaboration with the relevant authorities, ESC-HFA and
the Palais des Congrès de Paris will continue to keep these arrangements under
review and keep our delegates informed should we foresee any logistic impact on
the congress.
