Session topics include the science of stroke and atrial fibrillation, the unmet challenge of longstanding persistent atrial fibrillation, new technologies for AF ablation, and a look at how approaches to AF ablation have changed over time. Attendees will leave this session with advanced knowledge of this rapidly evolving field.

Allied Professionals Forums — three complimentary forums will be offered: Forum I will explore basic to advanced concepts in cardiac rhythm device patient management, and Forum II will provide an overview of EP fundamentals those progresses from basic to advanced content. Forum III is new this year and offers patient management content geared toward advanced clinical care providers.

Basic/Translational Science Forum “Emerging Science in AF” is a half-day program comprised of state-of-the-art talks relevant to experimental cellular electrophysiology, transcriptional, signaling and genetic pathways important for atrial fibrillation. This year’s forum places particular emphasis on integrating diverse biological concepts to better understand mechanisms important for atrial fibrillation, and features the Douglas P.
