The EOS solution

The EOS Solution is a unique combination of 2D/3D imaging technology, services and software used across the entire care pathway for skeletal conditions, particularly those affecting the spine, hip and knee. The EOS® exam and associated software are prescribed for diagnosing, planning treatment, post-operative care and follow up.
The EOS solution includes:
* EOS: a unique stereo-radiographic low dose imaging equipment.
* sterEOS: a workstation that creates a patient's personalized 3D skeletal modeling of  the spine and the lower limbs with associated  patient anatomic data.
* EOS 3DServices & EOSapps :  a range of web-based 3D services and pre-operative planning solutions.

EOS imaging is a medical company revolutionizing the treatment continuum for the most common osteoarticular conditions (hip, knee and spine) and associated orthopedic surgeries.

Its EOS® 2D/3D imaging system is specifically adapted to the needs of orthopedic surgeons and radiologists. This personalized imaging tool gives a precise 3D image of the patient's skeleton in the upright position that can be used to inform all aspects of care. The Company has obtained authorization to market the system in 48 countries. The Company is based in Paris, with a subsidiary in the United States in Cambridge, Massachusetts, as well as offices in Montreal (Canada) and Germany.

The 1992 Nobel Prize for Physics was awarded to a revolutionary invention: a high envery particle detector.
This detector design gave birth to EOS®: it enabled X-ray imaging to be performed at a much lower dose, with an expanded dynamic range and without the vertical distortion inherent in today's long length film and digital imaging systems. A collaboration between a team of world-class physicists, engineers and most importantly orthopedic surgeons and radiologists brought EOS® from proof-of-concept to a fully operational machine. All thanks to a radically new vision of what imaging could and should bring to orthopedics.
