CPC 2022 - Portuguese Congress of Cardiology

The last two years have been a huge challenge for all of us, in our professional lives, in our personal lives and also in our scientific lives. The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has changed the way we interact, changed the way we deal with virtual media and transformed scientific learning tools. Many of these changes had already been announced, only their implementation accelerated, dictated by necessity. And they came to stay! But, after 2 years, there is one certainty that remains, even for the most tech aficionados: we need to be together! We need personal contact, the exchange of experiences and ideas without a screen separating us, the informal conversation around a coffee, the hug from a friend that we often only find at the Portuguese Congress of Cardiology,

And 2022 will be the year we get back together! That's why we chose, for our congress motto, “ Moving Forward Together! ”. And this is the promise that we already leave you, confident that the epidemiological situation will not disappoint us: between 22 and 24 April 2022, at the Algarve Congress Center, in Vilamoura , we will be together again!

However, we also learned from the extraordinary achievements of the two Commissions that preceded us, in 2020 and 2021: the work carried out by them showed us all the virtues that a virtual congress can have. The tools created for these two congresses worked in an exemplary way and we could not fail to take advantage of them. For this reason, CPC2022 will be a hybrid congress, with live transmission to the congress platform of all sessions, which will also be available for later viewing. Thus, we will have the best that technology can offer us, but also the best that face-to-face human contact brings us!

We are already hard at work on the CPC 2022 scientific program and we will have news soon! We decided, as in previous years, to maintain the same Organizing Committee and the same structure for the 2022 and 2023 Congresses.

Fulfilling the promise that we will soon be together, we are waiting for you all, in Vilamoura, in April 2022 !
