The BIR has published a new book, Imaging Single Best Answer, developed in conjunction with the BIR Young Professionals and Trainee Committee. A convenient, easy-to-use learning resource aimed at trainee radiologists taking the Royal College of Radiologists’ Final FRCR (Part A) Exam.

The book contains 75 questions, answers and explanations with references for each of the six exam modules. Written by young consultants across the UK from their diverse Final FRCR (Part A) exam experiences and validated by a panel of expert consultant radiologists.

The BIR is committed to providing innovative education tools to the radiology community and excited to be delivering the book in print and as their first app.

David Wilson, President of the BIR said “This new printed and electronic publication is written by consultants who have just passed the FRCR examination and are well placed to give advice to those who follow. It is the BIR’s first app and we expect that readers will benefit from training examination questions that track their progress.”

Simon Ostlere, one of the Editors, says about the new book, “This new edition of MCQ questions published by the BIR is the first in the single best answer format that is now used in the Final FRCR (Part A). The questions have been created by young consultants for whom the FRCR is still a fresh memory and all the questions have been validated by senior specialist radiologists. The editors and contributors believe that candidates will find this a very useful aid in their quest to pass the FRCR exam. We wish all the candidates the best of luck!”
