Symptomatic arrhythmias are among the most frequent diagnoses in internal medicine and cardiology. Patients usually experience major distress, and quality of life suffers. Diagnosis is usually difficult and time-consuming since in arrhythmia events often no ECG is at hand to document the recurring symptoms. Unnecessary visits from the doctor on-call and self-hospitalizations are the costly consequences. The remosEKG 100/300 BT is simple to handle, enabling the attending physician to establish a conclusive diagnosis for symptomatic arrhythmias of unknown origin. Tachycardic arrhythmias, in which a rapid heart rate and palpitations are the dominant clinical symptoms, are difficult to diagnose by conventional methods (ECG at rest or a 24-hour ECG). The same applies to bradycardic arrhythmias. The remosEKG100/300 BT is available 1-channel or 3-channel versions and can be preset to store up to 120 ECGs with lengths from 40 to 300 seconds. Cardiac pacemaker impulses are automatically detected and captured on the ECG. The ECG recording is anonymously transmitted either acoustically via a landline telephone or digitally via Bluetooth and mobile telephone. The remosEKG 100/300 BT was developed in response to the demand from numerous customers abroad, where many countries do not have a developed fixed telephony network and communication is predominantly via mobile telephone. This innovation enables Vitaphone to close a genuine market gap in the area of telecardiological functional diagnosis and therapy—one more product to set their range of devices and services apart.
