The SteriMed medical waste processors—-comparable to a small walk-up self-service photocopier--simultaneously shred, macerate, disinfect and dewater medical waste using an environmentally friendly disinfectant--SterCid. After treatment of the potentially infectious medical waste, the resulting solid waste material is simply and cost effectively discarded as regular trash in your local community landfill in accordance with solid waste regulations. Each SteriMed system features an easy to operate operator interface which communicates the status of the automatic disinfection and destruction process. The untreated waste bag or sharps containers are loaded into the loading door of the system. The time for clinic personnel to load and start an automatic cycle is less than 30 seconds. Each SteriMed system is capable of providing real-time parametric monitoring and reporting to your facility using our SteriMed eLink cellular data communicator system; providing always-on, always-reporting connectivity of your facility’s SteriMed system to our central station.
