The SteriMed medical waste processors is comparable to a small walk-up self-service photocopier with simultaneously shred, macerate, disinfect and dewater medical waste using an environmentally friendly disinfectant. After treatment of the potentially infectious medical waste, the resulting solid waste material is simply and cost effectively discarded as regular trash in your local community landfill in accordance with solid waste regulations. Each SteriMed system features an easy to operate operator interface. The untreated waste bag or sharps containers are loaded into the loading door of the system. SteriMed systems also feature an intuitive graphical operator interface, which communicates the status of the automatic disinfection and destruction process.
