One of the best known methods of diagnostics and evaluation in pathology is manual palpation. The method is used for the assessment of elastic tissue properties. The Elastography is a new ultrasound diagnostic technique that is designed for use in the assessment and visualization of tissue stiffness. Its main purpose is to improve the accuracy and reliability of the ultrasound diagnostics of pathologic tissues. Most foreign ultrasound scanners do not allow the quantative assessment of tissues when in Estography mode. This is where the Shear wave Eleastography technique comes in. Developed by Radir Company, this superior technology enables quatitative assessment of tissue stiffness in real-time with the use of shear waves. It has a patent invention number of 100611 in the Ukraine.
