The standard door for inwards or outwards opening to either right or left provides an access opening 120 cm x 210 cm (other openings available on request). The door weighs only 67 kg and is basically a laminated wooden tongue and groove frame. The frame is covered with brass which supports the contact fingers. The door panel is made of plywood with a core of sound and heat absorbing insulation and covered with high-purity copper foil. The outer cover is a white laminate. IMEDCO doors are usually equipped with an automatic latch for proper closure which can be opened easily from the inside or outside with little effort. Where the door is ordered with a lock, the door can always be opened from the inside for safety. Chromium-plated stainless knobs are normally fitted on both sides.
