The Clinac® 6EX Linear Accelerator features a high-performance beam output; a fully dynamic intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) support (with dose rates of up to 600MY/min and a selection of 4MV or 6MV photon energy configuration); and an auto-field sequencing mechanism that allow physicians to deliver the appropriate radiation dosage to their patients with maximum efficiency. In addition, its SmartBeam™ IMRT capability allows for localized, high-dose radiation treatments where cancer cells are specifically targeted while sparing the surrounding healthy cells. It uses an Exact® couch with a tight treatment isocenter that helps clinicians to easily and accurately position their patients, especially for stereo-tactic applications, to ensure treatment accuracy. The machine is compact and is specially designed for use in small oncology clinics.
