By means of examination of biological norms, Freedom Innovations has established a performance criterion for Plié® 2.0, with an aim to endow individuals with more natural movements. Stance and swing are controlled by microprocessors. Being the most responsive MPC knee ever used, it integrates a cutting-edge hydraulic system with high-performance processing capabilities. The device reacts rapidly to Gait changes. It takes 10 milliseconds to react to ambulatory stimuli, owing to the control system which is finely tuned. As a result, users experience longer stay in the stance phase. They also change walking speeds more accurately by taking smaller steps. The product features the ability of advanced stumble recoveries. The Plié 2.0 has a patent-pending load cell and a proprietary position structured into its frame. This is responsible for providing inputs to the advanced algorithms. These algorithms are used by the microprocessor for controlling swing and stance, along with stumble recovery parameters.
