The latest Finger Extension Orthosis by RCAI characterizes the placing of IP joints of the fingers, wrist and thumb in extension. The product is used for treating muscle tone with emerging spasticity due to CVA, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and also used for burn patients and finger tendon lacerations. The RCAI Finger Extension Orthosis was developed for providing a stabilizing force all over the hand and digits for preventing soft tissue shortening of the long finger flexors. The product is made up of light and long lasting Kydex plastic. The Finger Extension Orthosis can also be heat molded at a lower temperature for meeting individual patient needs. The product is edged with a washable, breathable wicking foam liner which removes potential pressure points’ moisture far away from the skin, maintaining skin integrity. Palm width is measured.
