Optical tomography is a very modern, non-invasive technology of cross-sectional imaging of tissue (eg. eye retina), in which light diffused on particular layers of examined tissue is used. In comparison with solutions used so far in devices of this type (ie. so called time domain), thanks to elimination of moving mirror, necessary for scanning into the depth of examined objects, acquired images have much higher resolution and examining may last around one hundred times shorter. Also receiving three dimensional images involves no problem thanks to short time of making B-scan.
