The Sirius Mac Blade Infant No. 1 laryngoscope system features a fiber optic core which has been integrated into the system in a manner such that it cannot trap or accumulate bodily fluids or dirt. The enables the fully autoclavable blade to be decontaminated and cleaned without having to clean the optic fiber assembly separately, which would necessitate disassembly of the blade. This blade, as is the case with all Sirius blades and handles conforms to the popular IS) 7376 fitting, or green fitting.
