For use in vertebrectomy procedures, the Vertefix VBR is a handy device for the BioLign Vertebral Body Replacement. Its smart, Titanium construction offers an expandable cage that will fit in place of a vertebral body that has failed or become unreliable due to an accident, injury or other unforeseen incident. With the Vertical Body Replacement system, you can further implant bone along the full length of the device. And for added security, you can place cortical screws in the pre-drilled sink holes of the end-plates. Each end plate also joins together to allow for angling and better adaptation to the anatomy. Locking screws are also a part of the VBR process. These screws aid in alleviating future problems related to decompressing and shifting out of place. Pre-drilled holes are provided for locking screws around the full parameter of the central gear nut.
