It is small, compact and ready to use: The light source SCHOTT LEDgine 2 LS offers flicker-free bright light thanks to a SCHOTT LEDgine 2 Optics Module. The adapter of this stand alone version is interchangeable. This means that LEDgine 2 LS allows the use of light guides with different input ferrule diameters. To save the high brightness LEDs from overheating, the light source is also equipped with a low-noise axial fan and an electronic temperature feedback control. Moreover, LEDgin 2 LS is energy efficient and has a handle for convenient transport. The LEDgine platform has been specifically developed for the most efficient coupling of LED lights into small-size fiber optic bundles from 3 to 5 mm.
