This product is operatable using three simple steps. First, turn on the automated external defibrillator. Second, attach the electrode pads. Third, press down the shock button. There is a self-test function available on the main unit, battery and pads on a monthly and even daily self-test function. It has both child and adult modes to decrease the amount of energy for safe use on a child. Ninety minutes worth of rescue data can be reviewed on a PC with the appropriate viewer software. A patended pads connector checks and reports the condition of the pads.
