When combined, the VRF system and air-to-air heat exchangers allow a total building solution. Exhaust air is used by the exchangers to pre-condition the incoming air. This allows for fresh ventilation and helps prevents sick building syndrome. These air-to-air heat exchangers with DX-coil are designed to reclaim anywhere from 20% - 50% of the energy lost by ventilation. They also allow recovery of up to 72% of heat from outgoing air. The DX coil built into the system offers extra functionality and advantages, including compatibility with the standard Toshiba link control platform.
