The AqaNife is a monopolar electrosurgical instrument for dissection using flexible endoscopes with a minimum working channel diameter of 2.8 mm. It has a fixed dissection knife which gives precise marking of tissues and a straight needle, flexible of any dissection angles and with defined fixed position, to avoid back pushing by tissue contacts. It has a ceramic cap that acts as a stopper and a protector. Two needle lengths are available: 1.5 mm-2.0 mm focused on safety for thin tissues in colon and esophagus; and 2.5 mm-3.0 mm focused on dissection efficacy, for thicker tissues in stomach and rectum.
