The Polytech calf implant is made with an anatomical or moderate profile to help with rebuilding calf tissues after soft tissues in the area are lost. It may also be used for augmentation purposes. This is designed to work in the Musculus gastrocnemius area in a man or woman and uses a pocket on the distal end. It is paired with a good surface to make it easier for the implant to be used in the body with a blunt instrument. The silicone elastomer is especially strong and resilient. This elastic material also uses a barrier layer to protect the patient's structure.
