Tonosafe is a safe way to minimize the risk of cross infection between patients. It uses disposible prisms. It is specially designed to be used with Goldmann Applanation Tonometers and combines the Tonosafe prism and holder to ensure it has the same dimensions as the original Goldmann. It strives to achieve these so results do not have to be converted. Because the Tonosafe uses disposable prisms, you don't need to disinfect the prisms after checking each individual patient. Instead, you can just throw them away.
