The siliconised hollow fibre mattresses (Dacron Du Pont polyester fibre) are suitable for preventing decubitus, and offer the following characteristics: excellent comfort, good pressure distribution, prevention of maceration, frictions and cutting forces which act on the patient’s skin. The siliconised hallow fibre cylinders are interchangeable and covered with a cotton lining which ensures the skin transpirability. It is a complete mattress because it is equipped with a polyurethane foam base.
