The P500 Therapy Surface works for keeping a patient's skin comfortable and secure. It uses a space that keeps friction and shear from developing while keeping the patient cool. The Advanced Microclimate system will clear moisture and heat from a surface, thus making the patient more comfortable. This uses a weight-based pressure redistribution system to keep the patient adjusted properly. It also uses a shear line and a turn assist control alongside an inflation aid to make it easier to move a patient as required. The bed exit system is also used to tell caregivers when a patient leaves the bed. An x-ray cassette is also included to improve the process of using an x-ray while on the surface.
