The epX Ankle Dynamic is an ankle support which has a supporting strap sewn in an anatomical shape. The ankle orthosis supports the upper ankle and provides relief from pressure in cases of sprains and contusions both postoperatively and during rehabilitation. It is also used for ligament instability, to combat swelling associated with activated osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis and for tendinopathy and injury prevention. The J-shaped inserts in the malleolus region accelerate the reduction of swelling and healing of bruises. The sewn-on supporting strap is wrapped in a figure of eight pattern and secured with a hook-and-loop fastener. Inserts are loosely sewn into their pockets, so they will automatically move to the correct position at the medial and lateral malleolus.
