The Softec Genu is a multifunctional orthosis. Its primary purpose is that of stabilizing the knee. The fixed joint splints combined with the anatomically-shaped, breathable fabric construction provides both stability and a measure of control for the wearer. A pad located in front of the kneecap provides a massaging action when the leg is in motion that hastens the healing process. This orthosis is ideal for use when recovering from torn ligaments or collateral knee injuries, in the treatment of arthritis of the knee joint and in sports therapy where temporary support is necessary to return the knee joint and surrounding tissues to full strength. The Softec Genu functions in the rather narrow area of providing needed support and stability while recovering from an injury or knee surgery, while at the same time not overly restricting the wearer's mobility.
