The CaligaLoc stabilizing orthosis is for the partial immobilization of the ankle, and can be used for the conservative treatments of torn ankle ligaments, in cases of chronic weakness in the ankle or post-operatively. The orthosis can be used continuously to help protect the ankle against any stress of strain, allowing for quicker healing. The device can be worn with or without shoes. It helps to protect and stabilize the ankle all day long with comfort. The cushioned plastic splint is fastened securely to the foot and ankle using Velcro straps, keeping them in place. There is a slight raising to the outer edge of the splint, allowing the foot to tilt slightly inwards, relieving any undue pressure to the outer ligaments of the ankle.
