The balloon dilatation catheter is built for radial dilatation of the urinary tract. The catheter helps to assist the placement of larger surgical instruments and to relieve strictures. To maintain it's outer diameter during inflation, the non-compliant balloon of the catheter is designed using specially treated polymers that provides maximum strength. The controlled inflation pressure of up to 20 ATM in the non-compliant balloon also helps high pressure dilation of narrow strictures. The surface of the non-compliant balloon is HydroPlus coated which reduces friction during advancement and withdrawal. For improved placement and withdrawal the balloon dilatation catheter comes with Quadra-Fold technology that lets the balloon material to wrap tightly around the catheter. The catheter also comes with tapered distal end that helps in easy negotiation of tight and tortuous ureteral tracts and radiopaque marker bands that enhances visualization of balloon position under fluoroscopy.
