The Stand-Alone Cervical Cage range is designed to be a replacement of cervical discs in the treatment of degenerative disease. Since it offers integrated screw fixation, the STACC requires no additional fixation such as cervical plating. It is generally accepted that the use of anterior cervical plating increases the chance of obtaining a solid fusion. That said, the process may be associated with a higher postoperative morbidity as well as an increase in surgical time. The STACC is an answer to this dilemma, as its construction features a stand-alone cervical anterior cage device with a low profile and integrated screw fixation. Additionally, the rigid two-screw design allows for fusing multiple levels with easy access. The central cavity can be filled with bone graft.
