Since this cervical plate is made out of titanium alloy, it is highly resistant to corrosion. The design includes a unique screw locking feature, which allows the doctor to insert screws securely. After the insertion, the screws can be tightened into position by means of a rotating locking cap. In order to match patient pathology, the plate is curved in the transversal and longitudinal planes. The size of the plates vary in length, starting with a 17.5 mm model with no middle slot, and all the way up to 70 mm with three middle slots. The size increments between the two are 2.5 mm. A fixed screw mechanism has a parallel shoulder that makes the plate holes. Using this mechanism allows for a screw to be secured in a specified direction. The screws are available in a variety of diameters and lengths.
