MReye needles are MR Conditional up to 1.5 T. The needles offer preoperative marking of nonpalpable breast lesions. The localized hook wire is placed using the bevel-cut needle tip. The needle is marked in increments of 1 cm which helps in depth guidance during procedures. During the needle manipulation, the hook wire needs to be in the needle tip, this visibility is provided by the reference brownish mark located on the spring hook wire outside the needle hub. During dissection, the reinforced tip of the spring-hook wire serves as a visual assistance and provides guidance to the surgeons to gauge distance to the lesion thus minimizing the risk of severing the hook wire.
