We have an opportunity for a Workforce Planning & Management Senior Analyst to work with our Workforce Planning and Management team to maintain and execute on the Workforce Vision of “Enabling UnitedHealth Group contact centers to become a Competitive Advantage for our company.

As a Workforce Planning and Management Senior Analyst, you will grow and develop as you conduct and manage outcomes of various studies. You will be challenged to analyze, review, and forecast data for operational and business planning. As part of this elite team, you will be empowered to impact the health care system through the analysis and interpretation of data and presenting recommendations for business solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with all levels of workforce groups/leadership both internally and with our vendor partners to identify gaps and emerging needs
  • Drive toward forecast/financial accuracy goals and objectives 
  • Ensure data integrity across multiple reporting platforms
  • Create business process optimization and documentation including provision of educational tools and resources
  • Create and maintain consolidated uniform data packaging across all of the front office
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively identify solutions across individual business segments that range from 5,000 to 10,000 advocates
  • Provide insight into areas of opportunity on metrics and / or the efficient use of resources using data both internally as well as with our vendor partners
  • Utilize models, dashboards, processes to facilitate awareness and understanding both within the workforce teams as well as the operational business units they support
  • Find creative solutions to complex problems through data management and analytics 
  • Make decisions autonomously with little direction to identify/solve complex problems

Demonstrated Skills:

  • Ability to work in a complex matrix environment providing support to individual vendor partners and 10,000+ advocate populations across several geographical locations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication delivery with experience in catering the delivery from SVP to Frontline supervisor
  • Ability to maintain and facilitate multiple interdependent business plans 
  • Expert presentation skills
  • Advanced understanding of Excel
  • Advanced negotiation/influence and relationship management skills
  • Be a strong change agent and resilient to roadblocks 
  • Bias toward action
  • Solve complex problems on own; proactively identifies new solutions to problems

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in service operations center, call center or Workforce Management that support populations of 3,000+ FTE’s across at least two different geographical locations
  • 2+ years of experience with Workforce Management software (such as IEX, Aspect, Workforce Management IEX, Blue Pumpkin) 
  • 1+ years of experience leading or managing projects involving populations greater than 3,000 FTE’s
  • 1+ years of statistical analysis experience
  • Advanced understanding of Excel
  • Advanced analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree 
  • 3+ years of experience working in systems administration, logistics, demand planning, or reporting
  • 1+ years of experience working with financial models/budgets
  • 1+ year working within matrix environments that include vendor/BPO partnerships
  • Proven track record of identifying defects and process variation, and working to improve processes and reduce defects (Six Sigma, Lean methodologies)
  • Experience scheduling, conducting planning meetings, and managing capacity 
  • Health care industry experience
