Location: This is a Nationwide, Work-At-Home opportunity.



This role operates within the Medicaid Specialized Populations and Programs organization supporting HEDIS and NCQA for MLTSS programs across Elevance Health markets. The Program Director leads HEDIS and NCQA audit functions for MLTSS programs and serves as a liaison between the health plans and auditors and interfaces with the Quality & Accreditation team to ensure all eligible markets apply for and maintain NCQA LTSS Distinction status. Other responsibilities include, communicating information to the markets, gathering information from markets for audit submission and review, working with interdepartmental teams to prepare for audits, engaging vendors for audit specific work, collaboration with the markets to share best practices, as well as developing and implementing strategies to stay prepared and ahead of upcoming audits for the coming year and beyond.



The Program Director is responsible for the development and ongoing management of one or more external client facing programs that are multi-state, multi-function and multi-year in scope. Program directors typically support business strategies through an integrated portfolio of external client facing programs, projects and initiatives. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Directs the development, planning, prioritization, approval, implementation and compliance of on-going external client facing programs.
  • Establishes program governance when needed to assure response to issue escalation; develops program budget and ensures program meets its stated objectives.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in response to day to day business issues; researches applicable subject matter practices; and remains aware of industry trends.
  • Manages external client facing relationships and partners with corporate and regional business areas.
  • Develops communication documents and training criteria related to external client facing program success measures.
  • Develops documentation to support meeting presentations and the tracking and reporting of the program's success.
  • Provides leadership to program managers and project managers.
  • Typically reports to an executive.
  • Program directors typically manage external client facing programs that require managing activities and resources of multiple departments or business areas of the organization.



Minimum Requirements: Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 10 years experience in external client facing program management, project management; complex business processes, strategic and business planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.



Preferred Qualification, Skills & Experiences: MBA preferred. Project management certification (PMP) preferred. The person in this role is expected to have a strong working knowledge of HEDIS and NCQA requirements and best practices to positively impact effective processes for the completion of audits and strategic planning to achieve superior results on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate will understand how to balance requirements while ensuring planning and assessments remain person centered.





For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $105,360 to $189,648
