Main Purpose of Job

The Senior IT Business Partner EMEA & Global Marketing is part of the IT and Digital Leadership Team. S/he serves as the strategic interface and executive advisor for our EMEA commercial and Global Marketing and Communications organizations. S/he partners with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify and prioritize projects. S/he will proactively and holistically support enterprise transformation and optimization initiatives focusing on growing revenue, optimizing costs, and mitigating risks by applying existing, new and emerging technologies, processes and industry best practices.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage relationship business organizations and work in partnership with key stakeholders to accomplish strategic business and IT objectives
  • Act as a Trusted Partner for executive leadership in the EMEA and Global Marketing and Communications functions
  • Work with users and stakeholders to obtain an understanding of the holistic system needs and core business requirements as it relates to IT and business strategies
  • Understand market challenges, including customer priorities and competitive issues, to champion strategic technology improvements that will enhance business performance
  • Partner with business and IT leaders to build business cases. Determine how they fit into business and IT capability roadmaps and priorities
  • Collaborate with executive management and IT Leaders to develop and manage IT budgets
  • Manage the successful execution of new technology solutions and capabilities, ensuring objectives and expectations are met
  • Lead change management strategy and initiatives
  • Serve as an advocate for IT
  • Maintain documentation and adhere to change control policies, procedures and system or software development or project management lifecycle methodologies
  • Offer a management dashboard to demonstrate the business value delivered by technology solutions
  • Proactively identify business process and IT service improvement opportunities and contribute to improvement efforts
  • Support customer research in pursuit of new technology-led solutions and to evaluate the applicability and usefulness of current solutions

 

Experience

  • At least 10 years work experience in an IT Business Partner role preferably in the medical technology/healthcare industry
  • Substantial experience with developing and executing strategic IT plans and/or project portfolios. Broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business functions

 

Education

  • Completed technical/university studies in the field of computer science, business, business informatics or comparable qualification

 

Skills

  • Proven experience with portfolio and program management principles, processes and tools
  • Understanding of the different types of agile principles, methodologies and frameworks, especially those designed to be scaled at the enterprise level
  • Demonstrated business acumen and collaborative skills with the ability to partner across business functions and hierarchical levels to influence technology decisions. Experience with customer-facing digital transformation projects essential
  • Sufficient working knowledge of IT operations, responsibilities, workflow processes and procedures
  • Exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation in a multi-cultural environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Fluent in English, Foundational German language skills essential
  • Knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management preferred
  • Nice to have business development or client management experience within the IT Solutions and Services industry
