Job summary

 

We are looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals to assist in our Emergency X-ray Department over the winter period. This post is for a Radiography Department Assistant for night shift cover only.

 

About the team:At UHS we have a large friendly team of radiographers, RDAs and RAPs with a wide range of experience working across the following departments:

 

Emergency X-ray.This area provides adult and paediatric trauma radiography for the Emergency Department and Major Trauma Centre plus emergency and general theatre imaging.There are 3 DR x-ray rooms, DR mobiles and a fleet of up to date image intensifiers undertaking a wide variety of complex imaging procedures.

What youll do:

 

Assist Radiographers and Radiologists during imaging procedures and to provide care for patients undergoing imaging procedures.

 

What were looking for:

 

You will need to have suitable qualifications and experience working within a team and with people of all abilities, ages and cultures. It would be highly desirable for you to have some previous healthcare experience.

Qualifications

 

Essential

  • G.C.S.E or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics

Desirable

  • A levels - including science subject BTEC - DMM in science/healthcare related subject Relevant Foundation degree

 

Experience

 

Essential

  • Experience of working in a busy customer care environment

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting.

  • Evidence of previous role requiring team work
