Overview of Position

The AVP Partner Business Development is responsible for developing an enterprise-wise, strategic business relationship between Change Healthcare and the top consultancies including but not limited to Accenture, Deloitte, Leidos, and McKinsey. An essential aspect of this position is to make recommendations on Change Healthcare offerings that best fit the consultancy’s business solution and roadmap, assist product and engineering contacts with testing, and working with business owners to sign up for API’s and/or our app registry. Additionally, you’ll be looking out for data solutions and technology enabled solution opportunities and make referrals to the appropriate team members.

 

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • As an individual contributor you will be responsible for selling Change Healthcare API’s to assigned digital health startups across the United States – high volume sales role, typically 80 to 100 sales transactions per year
  • Establishes contact with founders, engineering and product leadership, and developers within prospective partners to determine partnership fit
  • Conveys and demonstrates a detailed knowledge of functionality, features and benefits of Change Healthcare API’s
  • Presents and articulates opportunities/problem statement, value proposition and solution to prospects
  • Maintains deep understanding of solution set and resources for our partners
  • Prepares weekly sales forecasts, account status reports, and recommendations to enhance account growth and revenue potential
  • Builds peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management staff and collaborates with our marketplace team to increase digital contracting and partner app registrations

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college or related and equivalent experience
  • 7 or more years of business development experience in health IT
  • Experience working with digital health companies

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • One (1) or more years in either a technical business-to-business sales role or sales engineering capacity
  • Highly skilled in successfully managing the entire business development process, from discovery to ongoing relationship management with a proven track record in technical sales or use case engineering
  • Working knowledge of healthcare information systems with broad knowledge and expertise in the Healthcare Information Technology market sector

How much should I expect to travel?

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of time
  • Territory: Nationwide
  • This is a remote/virtual position
  • Employees in roles that require travel will need to be able to qualify for a company credit card or be able to use their own personal credit card for travel expenses and submit for reimbursement.
