A free CPD accredited webinar offering insight into the ground-breaking progress of Proton Radiotherapy in the UK is now available free of charge for anyone visiting the BIR website, giving a taste of the suite of live and recorded webinars exclusively on offer to BIR members.
Dr Adrian Crellin delivers a detailed expert analysis of the objectives of the NHS England Proton Strategy and the overseas referral programme. Professor Stuart Green provides insight into the development of a protocol for reference dosimetry in scanned proton beams. Hazel Pennington, radiographer, gives a comprehensive current update on the operational development of the NHS England proton therapy service, due to be operational in Manchester in 2018.
This webinar Proton Radiotherapy III is the third in a series of proton radiotherapy webinars that are invaluable for oncologists, therapeutic radiographers and physicists.
Professor Green said “These webinars provide a vital resource for those wanting to understand the NHS approach to proton radiotherapy. They are delivered by experts to cover details of the overseas referral programme, progress on facilities in England and basic physics and dosimetry aspects of the treatment approach.”
One physicist commented “I really liked the multidisciplinary approach … with a combination of both technical, medical physics and clinical perspectives.”
BIR live and recorded webinars by top experts are available to BIR members as part of their membership, and on a pay-per-view basis to non-members. They cover a range of topics from Cardiac CT to Obstetric MRI. A limited number of recorded webinars, including Proton Therapy III are free to all.
We are grateful for the support of Philips who sponsored the Proton Radiotherapy III webinar.
