Siemens has announced today that Gunter Dombrowe, the current Managing Director of Siemens Healthcare Sector in the UK and Healthcare Sector Lead for the North West Europe Cluster, will retire from his position at the end of March. Siemens UK CEO, Roland Aurich, thanked Gunter Dombrowe for his more than 40 years of service to Siemens and, in particular, his success in the UK which includes not only a strong and competent organisation and a leading market share, but also pioneering the Public Private Partnership business for the Healthcare Sector, which is now being successfully adopted outside the UK also.

Mr Dombrowe will be succeeded as Managing Director UK by Peter Harrison, currently UK Divisional Director, Imaging and Therapy Systems.

The role of Healthcare Sector Lead for the North West Europe Cluster will be assumed by Dr Stefan Schaller, currently Head of Strategy for the global syngo® business unit.

All appointments are effective from 1 April 2012.
