5 Reasons to Attend ESGAR
The European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR) is a not-for-profit scientific organisation that was established by radiologists who work in close association with gastroenterologists, hepatologists, abdominal surgeons, pathologists, and other allied specialists. The annual meeting of ESGAR is held in a different European country each year and covers a specific topic that is related to the main theme of Abdominal Imaging and Intervention. The meeting includes educational lectures, workshops, scientific presentations and satellite symposia.
The year, the ESGAR Annual Meeting will be held on June 20-23, 2017 in Athens, Greece. Here are five reasons to attend ESGAR:
Ideal Congress Destination
This year, the ESGAR annual meeting will be held in Athens, an ideal congress destination that combines state-of-the-art infrastructure, excellent conference facilities, cultural attractions, entertainment and natural beauty. The Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (MAICC) is located within minutes from the city center and is one of the finest and most technologically advanced conference venues in Europe.
Quality and Atmosphere
Over the years, the ESGAR annual meeting has become more and more popular offering comprehensive and innovative scientific information. At the same time, ESGAR has been able to sustain its two core characteristics which include scientific quality and family atmosphere. The meeting will provide high quality education, demonstrate developments and innovations in abdominal diagnostic and interventional radiology and will present new and advanced research activities.
This year's ESGAR includes a new exciting programme "The Postgraduate Course on "Imaging the post-operative Abdomen". This programme will challenge every day clinical practices and will deal with the most common current surgical techniques, post-operative imaging anatomy, complications after abdominal surgery, post-surgical alterations and clinical significance of imaging findings in the post-operative abdomen.
Excellent Scientific Programme
Specifically, the scientific programme includes three workshops and ten hands-on sessions discussing a large series of clinical cases. The Image Guided Therapy feature will include lecture sessions and scientific papers and posters.
School of ESGAR
This feature will present topics following the chapters from the European Training Curriculum. The School of ESGAR will be open from June 21 to June 23, 2017.
