Stentor Selected as Approved Vendor by MedAssets Supply Chain Systems for Multi-Year Imaging Contract

Stentor has announced that it has been selected by MedAssets Supply Chain Systems, the third largest and fastest growing medical group purchasing organization (GPO) in the U.S., as an approved vendor to provide picture archive and communications systems (PACS) to MedAssets member hospitals. As an approved PACS supplier, Stentor will be able to sell its iSite® PACS to MedAssets members until January 2010. “We are excited that MedAssets understands the value proposition we bring to hospitals with respect to digital medical image distribution and management as it relates to improved quality and patient safety, as well as increased productivity and cost reduction,” said Jeff Otten, Chief Executive Officer of Stentor.

 

Stentor Maintains Number 1 Ranking for Second Year in 2004 KLAS Picture Archive and Communications (PACS) Report

Stentor, recently announced that the company has been ranked the number 1 PACS vendor in the 2004 KLAS PACS Report. According to the report, the company continued to perform well above the industry average and captured the top ranking for the second year in a row. Stentor was the highest ranked company in the 2004 KLAS Report, which evaluates ten of the major PACS vendors. KLAS uses a two-step approach, first collecting a series of product/vendor evaluations covering more than 40 performance areas and then conducting indepth, confidential interviews with IT executives and department directors at acute care hospitals. Stentor also received the highest marks in three out of four fundamental categories: product technology, business, and success indicators.
