Two Belgian Hospitals have Chosen Agfa HealthCare Solutions IMPAX PACS

The Department of Medical Imaging of the general hospital AZ Sint-Maarten, with two sites in Duffel and Mechelen, Belgium, has decided to install Agfa's IMPAX PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) solution to integrate radiology services at both its sites. A decision to invest in Agfa's CR (Computed Radiography) solutions for both sites completes the hospital's digital image management approach.

Additionally, four-site AZ Groeninge hospital in Kortrijk, Belgium, has decided to install Agfa's Electronic Patient Record (EPR), in a further step towards a complete clinical solution. The EPR will be integrated with other modules implemented previously at AZ Groeninge by Agfa, including Agfa's Radiology Information System (RIS), planning, billing and reporting solutions as well as the result server. Third-party solutions such as lab and pharmacy solutions can also be fully integrated with the EPR.
