The UK government has invested £250m in establishing two NHS proton therapy centres – one at The Christie in Manchester, due to open in 2018, and one at UCLH in London which is due to open in 2020. This, combined with new proton facilities in several private centres, will overhaul the way cancer is treated in the UK.

This meeting is to inform radiotherapy professionals on how they can access these new resources, which patients they should be referring and how this new service is going to impact healthcare in the future
