Course Description

This course is aimed at radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians and researchers in medical imaging who want to update their knowledge on state-of-the-art hybrid medical imaging. The programme includes basics on hybrid imaging techniques, both on PET-CT and PET-MRI, expanding on the technical background and tracers, but will also give a broad overview on dedicated clinical applications such as hybrid imaging in oncology, cardiovascular imaging or brain imaging. The expert faculty comprises nuclear medicine physicians and radiologists who will provide a series of lectures describing indications and advances in hybrid imaging. Concluding, this course will provide a broad overview of the latest developments in hybrid imaging, as well as a good networking opportunity.

Learning Objectives

• to learn about imaging techniques, protocols and artefacts in hybrid imaging
• to understand the indications, limitations and added value of hybrid imaging in various entities
• to learn about systematic image evaluation of hybrid imaging
• to get a basic knowledge of tracers and radiopharmaceuticals for hybrid imaging
