EAHAD 17th Annual Congress 2024 Congress Information

The European Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders (EAHAD) is a multi-disciplinary association of healthcare professionals who provide care for individuals with haemophilia and other bleeding disorders. Its members include haematologists, internists, pediatricians, nurses, physiotherapists, laboratory scientists and researchers from across Europe.

Since its establishment in 2007, EAHAD has worked to improve the situation of people living with haemophilia and other bleeding disorders.

On behalf of the EAHAD 2024 Organising Committee, it is my honour and pleasure to welcome you to the 17th annual EAHAD Congress in Frankfurt from 6 to 9 February 2024

After the 2009 EAHAD Congress in Munich, this is the second time that this outstanding international congress will be held in Germany.

Frankfurt has a long tradition as an influential city – in the Middle Ages German emperors were crowned here. Today, the Rhine-Main metropolis is located in the green heart of Germany, with one of the largest and most modern trade fair cities in Europe, the Messe Frankfurt. The hotels and the diverse, culturally interesting venues are mostly within walking distance.

The mission of EAHAD is to promote education, support research and improve clinical care and the lives of patients with inherited or acquired bleeding disorders. The Frankfurt Congress will provide you with the opportunity to expand your knowledge and better understand and discuss the latest scientific advances. At the same time, you can present your latest findings and exchange ideas with other researchers as well as other health care professionals, such as nurses, physiotherapists, psychosocial professionals, and all other caregivers.

**Allied Health Professionals are healthcare professionals who work within the multidisciplinary care team and may deliver direct patient care, rehabilitation, treatment, diagnostics and health improvement interventions. This category includes nurses, physiotherapists, psychosocial professionals, and laboratory scientists. It does not include physicians. Allied health professionals must provide a letter of confirmation from their immediate supervisor to benefit from the reduced fee. Should we not receive this confirmation, the registration will be changed to the Regular fee

***Students must provide a letter of confirmation of their status from their institution to benefit from the reduced fee. Should we not receive this confirmation, the registration will be changed to the Regular fee.

****Patient advocates can only register if they are official representatives of their national haemophilia organisation or the European Haemophilia Consortium. A letter certifying this will be required at the time of registration.

*****Attendance to the Allied Health Professionals Day is open only to Allied Health Professionals (Nurses, Physiotherapists, Psychosocial professionals) and is to be booked in addition to the EAHAD 2024 Congress registration fee. It is possible to attend this pre-congress day as a stand-alone service.
