Connect with colleagues, network and collaborate with critical care experts, and explore new tools, technologies and processes at the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s (SCCM) 47th Critical Care Congress. The Society’s Congress is the largest critical care event that brings together all members of the multiprofessional, multidisciplinary team. This four-day event will feature internationally renowned faculty and content sessions highlighting the most up-to-date, evidence-based developments in critical care medicine.

Receive acknowledgment as an educational partner by supporting the educational programming at Congress through an unrestricted medical education grant. All Congress programs are packed with essential clinical information to keep practitioners informed on various critical care topics. Choose from the following:

CE/CME Symposia
Held in the morning and during lunch, these programs promote improvement in healthcare and give a balanced view of available therapeutic options for all intensive care practitioners. The CE/CME symposia are supported by unrestricted independent educational grants and comply with industry guidelines. SCCM is the CE provider for these events, and all presentation topics, faculty and objectives are approved by SCCM to ensure that content is unbiased and meets established goals. For an incremental fee, enduring material options are available to reach learners beyond the live event.

Educational Sessions
Support a concurrent session or select pre-Congress courses. Options available include supporting a live session, an enduring webcast (which includes CE/CME for a year) or both. Because these are CE/CME sessions, no influence by industry is allowed in the program content or speaker selection.

To avoid long wait times, please pick up your registration materials before Sunday morning. If you have any outstanding registration fees, please plan to make a payment before receiving these materials. If possible, make payments before your arrival. The registration desk and kiosks will be located in the main lobby of the convention center and will be open during the following hours*:

Pre- and Postcourses and Additional Ticketed Sessions

Registration for pre- and postcourses, the Fellowship Program Directors Luncheon, and the Advanced Practice Provider Networking Luncheon can be done in conjunction with your Congress registration.

If you are already registered for Congress and would like to add a ticketed session, please modify your existing Congress registration. To modify your registration, log in to your account in the SCCM store. Once logged in, select "All Events." Select the "Details" button from the Congress line item. Once on the Congress event page, select "Edit Registration." Select the items you would like to attend and then "Add to Cart." Follow the prompts to complete your transaction.

If you wish to attend a pre- and/or postcourse and not attend Congress, please visit the SCCM store and search by the course title to register.

Volunteer Opportunities

Students and residents not yet committed to critical care are eligible to volunteer during Congress and receive complimentary registration. Volunteers must work one six to eight hour shift between February 23 and 28, 2018. Complimentary registration does not include any sessions that require an additional fee. Spouse/Guest Exhibit Hall Admission

Spouses/guests are welcome to explore the Exhibit Hall. Please check in at the registration desk to obtain a visitor badge. Spouses/guests are not permitted to attend any educational sessions.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing. All cancellations are subject to a $75 nonrefundable processing fee and must be postmarked before January 17, 2018, to be eligible for a refund. Any cancellation postmarked after this date will not be refunded. Exchanges and substitutions are not allowed at any time. Dates for the 46th Critical Care Congress are subject to change and/or cancellation. In the event of a change/cancellation, only individual registration fees will be reimbursed. Please allow four weeks to process refunds.

SCCM has arranged for discounted airfare with United Airlines and Delta Airlines for travel to San Antonio, Texas, USA. Attendees and guests are eligible for up to 10% off published fares. Please note: Beginning January 22, 2018, you may need a second form of identification, such as a U.S. passport, to board an aircraft. Travel Regulation for International Visitors

Travelers to the United States from Visa Waiver Program countries must go to the Electronic System for Travel Authorization website and complete an application before entering the country by air or sea. If approved, the authorization is valid for two years and can be renewed. Travelers no longer need to complete an I-94W form before each trip into the United States.
