2022 KBS Lecture: Janine Austin Clayton, MD, FARVO

Established by the ACPM Board of Regents in 1979 to recognize Dr. Katharine Boucot Sturgis' outstanding contributions in research, teaching and service in the field of preventive medicine, the annual KBS Lecture is an opportunity for nationally recognized leaders to explore key issues and innovations in health promotion and disease prevention.

ACPM is excited to announce Janine Austin Clayton, MD, FARVO as the 2022 KBS Lecturer. Dr. Clayton is the Associate Director for Research on Women’s Health and Director of the Office of Research on Women’s Health at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She is the architect of the NIH policy requiring scientists to consider sex as a biological variable across the research spectrum, a part of NIH’s initiative to enhance reproducibility, rigor, and transparency.
