Third International Meeting on Well being and Performance in Clinical Practice" (WELLMED 3). Following the success of previous meetings (May 2014, May 2016) this meeting will bring together experts from diverse disciplinary backgrounds in order to present and discuss innovative ways of linkingphysician well being to patient safetyand quality of care.

Given the fact that the health and well being of our health professionals is inextricably linked to the quality of care they provide, the conference will explore how burnout and wellbeing are related to different aspects of quality of care and patient safety, in terms of clinical decision making, communication in clinical practice, medical errors, quality of care, civility at workplace, and patient neglect.

For this year an equal emphasis will be put on positive predictors of well being and safety, including physician resilience work engagement and leadership. In order to highlight the particular issues in specific areas of healthcare, WELLMED 3 will devote a special section on primary care, and in nursing practice. Finally, given the importance of education in building the link between HP well being and patient safety, a special session will be devoted to identifying the most effective educational approaches at all levels of medical/nursing career.
