Seventy-seventh World Health Assembly Strategic Roundtable
At the 77th World Health Assembly Member States will be invited to approve WHO’s new strategy for 2025–2028, the 14th General Programme of Work (GPW14). The strategy is a co-creation of all Member States and partners facilitated by the WHO Secretariat that will accelerate progress in health and well-being for everyone, everywhere. By 2028 through the GPW14, WHO will have realized further major health gains: the combined efforts of WHO together with Member States and partners across the wide domain of health will have saved 40 million lives.
To deliver on this strategy, WHO needs to be predictably and sustainably financed. WHO’s new Investment Case, entitled "All for Health, Health for All," will be launched at this event. This publication will demonstrate WHO's unique value proposition, policy commitments, and transformative potential under GPW14, produced with inputs from WHO Member States, stakeholders, and global health partners. Participants will be presented with rich data and examples of WHO’s impact globally and in countries. Speakers will set out WHO’s unique role in global health, consider the opportunities and challenges for global health in the next four years, and share their support for a successful Investment Round as Member States and others rally around a sustainably financed WHO.
